V2 Demo coming soon...




We launched on itch about a month ago without a plan, without expecting anyone to play or notice. Somehow in that short time there have been over 38,000 plays on this little experiment of a game.
We took this really seriously. As a new studio, we're still learning, but it felt critically, overwhelmingly important to listen to what players were saying about the game and try to respond to the feedback.
We've spent the last month polishing the heck out of this game and will soon be rolling out a new Demo.
Some key differences:
- It's shorter
- This demo only has the first four levels. This demonstrates the new core loop of the game, and let us focus hard on CORRECTLY balancing and polishing the early game. The late game is still a mess. Don't worry, you can still play forever if you want to.
- Steam's up next
- We're heading to Steam with our final game! And I think we'll keep a shorter web version on Itch. We appreciate the heck out of this community. Wishlists will also be much appreciated if any of you all are Steam users.
- NEW GAME LOOP
- There are tiers now. A ball-o-meter for each level. Catch balls -> increase your tier.
- Advancement to the next stage is locked by tier.
- Upgrades start locked by tier, but unlocking them gives access across all stages.
- Coin currency is global! It can be spent on any stage.
- Maxing out a tier will eventually be a requirement for prestige.
- Prestige Menu Preview
- PREVIEW ONLY. This isn't hooked up for the demo yet.
- Art
- Lots and lots of art polish. Lots of VFX, sparkly moments, glows, and god rays. These polished moments have been missing.
- Bugfixes
- We hope we fixed that crash!!
This was a huge chunk of dev work, probably bigger than the initial implementation of the game, and we'll keep on polishing, balancing, and responding to feedback. Keep it coming! We hope you like the demo -- keep an eye out for it in the next few days.
